MateUp is a social gaming companion app that helps players match based on games, platforms, languages, and play-style preferences. By using the app, you agree to these terms.
1. Account and eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use MateUp. You agree to provide accurate and current information when creating an account.
Users who sign up with email may need to verify their email address. The app may remind you about verification in your profile for account safety.
You are responsible for keeping your account secure. Do not share your password or sign-in credentials with others.
2. Acceptable use
Harassment, hate speech, threats, spam, scams, impersonation, or inappropriate content are not allowed.
You may not collect, publish, or misuse another user’s personal information without permission.
MateUp may limit, suspend, or remove accounts to protect safety, the community, or the operation of the service.
3. Profile, matching, and messaging
You are responsible for content you share, including profile photos, usernames, games, platforms, country/city, languages, and messages.
Matches and suggestions may be based on profile preferences, shared games, platforms, and in-app interactions. Matches are not guaranteed.
In-app messaging is provided so players can communicate. Use care before moving conversations outside the app.
4. Mobile app and subscriptions
MateUp is designed for mobile devices. Device, operating-system, network, or store-policy limitations may apply.
The terms and payment policies of the store where you downloaded the app may also apply.
Premium memberships may be offered as in-app subscriptions. Subscription renewal, cancellation, and payment management are handled through your connected store account.
Permissions such as notifications, photo library, camera, gallery, or link opening are requested only for related features and can be changed in device settings.
5. Invite Friends program
Referral rewards are granted only for eligible, new, and verified accounts. Users may not use their own invitation, and an account can be linked to only one invitation.
The Premium referral reward is granted after the invited user’s first successful paid Premium transaction following any free trial is verified. Cancelled, refunded, or unverifiable transactions may not generate a reward.
Rewards may be revoked and accounts may be restricted when fake accounts, multiple accounts controlled by one person, or attempts to bypass technical controls are detected. Rewards have no cash value and cannot be transferred.
6. Service changes
We may add new features, change existing features, or temporarily pause features for security or performance reasons.
These terms may be updated from time to time. For important changes, we may notify you in the app or through other appropriate channels.
7. Limits of responsibility
MateUp is not responsible for user behavior or for conversations, gaming sessions, or disputes that happen outside the app.
The app is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or identical performance on every device.
